William Harvey loves Caprices
About two hundred years ago, the great Italian virtuoso Niccolo Paganini wrote 24 Caprices for Solo Violin. Ever since, they have been considered the hardest pieces written for the instrument. From the Top alum William Harvey is going to learn and perform all 24. Why? You ask. He’s doing it as a fundraiser for his nonprofit Cultures in Harmony. Each time, he raises $500, he’ll add a performance of one of Paganini’s Caprices to his YouTube site. He’s hoping to raise $12,000 between September and February.
