I’m so happy that From the Top is getting the recognition it deserves. Keep up the good work guys!!! Love you always!!!
Thanks Joshua! And thanks to you for being part of the series!
I am a fan of “From the Top” and was pleased to see that the show earned two Emmys. However, my stomach (that’s right, my stomach!) doesn’t agree with the multiple camera achievement award.
Tonight as I attempted to watch the performance of Ronald Danielpour I got motion sick and had to close my eyes! The camera zoomed around so much it reminded me of my first attempts with the zoom control on my camcorder. During the performance of the violinist and the jazz singer the cameras stopped and allowed the eye to focus. But the cameras NEVER stopped during Ronald’s performance. When a pianist (that’s me) watches another pianist, we want to see the hands, please! Not creative movement all around the stage.
If you want to use multiple camera angles that’s wonderful. But slow it down! I don’t like being queasy sitting on my couch attempting to watch wonderful kids on “From the Top.”
